My name is Jess. I developed SafeID QR based on my lived experience as a parent to Oscar, who has severe autism, is minimally speaking, and lives with cerebral palsy. I discovered that if we became separated in a crowded place, Oscar would not be able to tell anyone who he is, who I am, or how to find me. Oscar would not tolerate a wearable device due to his sensory profile, and tattooing a child is frowned upon. SafeID QR was developed to be a safer, more practical alternative.
